Glow plug harness oil

Any ideas?? I am changing main engin harness along with glow plugs and plugs harness too. My question, is a lot of oil on the plug harness normal?? I have not pulled the GP's yet. This is on passenger side.

Thanks for any advice and suggestions.

More info please. What year, and how many miles.

I have 2005 and the harness is dry.

It's a 2005 with 216,000 original miles. Has been driven hard and this is reason for concern over oil on plugs, never changed before so don't know normal. Let me know if there is more info to help. Thanks

I'm finding this hard to understand/figure out...

You're changing the glow plug harness along with the main harness...

You removed the glow plug harness and the harness is wet with oil after pulling it out

OR

Looking at the glow plug harness its soaked with oil? Without even removing it.

Yep GP harnes lots oil at connection and lots more on lower side of plug once pulled out. So not sure if normal or not. The harness as a whole is not soaked only pulling offof plug. hope that helps
