I can put Ax to work here, after the new year I am going to have two restaurants and an exclusive downtown rich man's club (what else but a wine room) to install. I am a one man shop with one other worker - it is going to get busy here. I also have my truck to work on... No TV's in the shop, or on the job. A great chance to break the bad habit of watching all those silly shows that are ALL scripted.

No problem. You will have to show up in your Bentley or Rolls or maybe the highest priced BMW or Mercedes, pay 150K to join, yearly fees, and dinner and a beer will cost you about $200. The only reason they will let me in is to work there. I have to adhere to their dress code even to work there. It is called the Coronado Club and it is very snooty to say the least. The good thing is that I can charge them triple my normal rates and they actually like that. They think they are getting better when they pay more.

That sounds like fun! I like jobs that want top quality and materials no matter what the price. What are you doing for them? What's it pay and when can I start?

Ray, I'm waiting to see when and where truckstock is going to be to see if I can make it. I'd love to put some faces with some of y'all.

I haven't turned the TV on for quite a few years, I do have a movie room with projector and we watch an occasional movie though. Oh wait I did have the TV on during the summer olympics. My kids enjoyed watching some of the events. commercials and ads get really annoying though.

Ax, It is supposed to happen near the end of January. I will know more about the pay later when I get all the details. I understand that you know a lot about wood and woodwork so you will be at the top of the pay scale (which here is Houston is about 25 per hour plus room and board somewhere to be determined) but may be more or less depending on what they want to pay me. We will be installing work done by a local shop (the oldest shop in Houston) where I happen to know the shop foreman very well. It is a wine room, and I haven't even seen the plans yet. It should be a good job and they are very good about pay. We will see as the time approaches.

I could use a wine room, no woodworking skills required. Just bring the wine! hahaha

Somebody is definitely compensating for a lack of something... but I'm confident it isn't money.
