66 ford f-100 severe cab rust
I just bought a f-100 1966 and took it in the shorts.I plan on doing a full restoration at a later date when I have more money. However at this point I would like to start with the entire cab floor and back cab corners to include crossmember under back of cab. where the heck do i start.. help if you can .. thanks fellow ford bros..

I have a cab floor and cab corners/mounts for starters (in az)
Do yourself a favor and start with a good truck~cab
Buy a rust free complete truck for parts. Any other rust on truck? How is core support, fenders, front of hood? Bed floor? Cowl?

I really screwed up I know . What the seller did was fiberglass over and then sprayed a undercoat to conceal the rust. The fenders , doors ,hood and cowl are in good shape with little rust to speak of. the bed bottom is not so good. On the cab it is really just the floor pans and back cab support crossbeam. And probably should do the back corners of cab. I have not pulled the seat or tank yet.Firewall and frame look pretty good just surface rust really. I live in Casa Grande AZ. Thanks for responding.I really love this truck and hope I can recover from this..

speaking of rust --- I'm new here too. Just got my dad's 62 F100. It lived in North Carolina until 1 month ago and has some rust. floor under driver side is getting thin. My question is -- now that I have it in Arizona should I do something to stop rust progression? --- the insides of the door panels - removed to fix the window mechanics - are showing noticeable rust -- should I spray them with some sort of coating to stop further progression?

Not to derail the thread, but I had to laugh Justin. Yours was better in some places and worse in others than mine. We should have gotten together and made 1 decent truck from the 2.
