My 1951 F2 "Old Besse"
Hi there,
OK so, ...i got an interesting birthday gift last month from a very good friend a project i always wanted to take on. I am used to working on old British cars and bikes and now i have a monster that is taking up all of my space. It has the original flathead etc etc and is not in bad shape for it's age. Progress has moved me to yank the motor and i am slowly rebuilding her. I have been doing quite a bit of research on her and will post my progress as it goes....
...BTW ...that's my friend Bill pictured...not me

Welcome!
Great pictures. I love the fact that you painted the front frame ends bright red. There must be a story behind that that involves a lumpy kneecap and cursing to make a sailor blush.
I wrapped an old t-shirt rag around each one to keep the cussin' down as I walk around the frame in my garage each time I have to go in.
Keep us supplied with progress pictures. I'm re-doing a 1951 F2 as well.

When you pull off those running boards it really gets bad. I had to end up putting some of that foam you wrap pipes with on the hangers before I destroyed my shins. I also hit my head on them every time I came from under the truck. I also hate it when some one leaves their hitch ball in the carrier of their trucks and you go behind them without thinking and your shins hits real hard.

He's right. Might as well keep an extra pint of blood in your garage's beer fridge for the certain losses you will have.
The only good thing about having the running board brackets exposed is that they make decent grab handles when you slide out from under the truck. But only if you remember they are there.
But it's still all fun.....

And those damn trailer hitches when walking through a parking lot! No wonder so many disappear, they arn't stolen they are removed by someone who just ran their shin into them
