429/460 motor mounts from speedway

Hey guys just thought I'd share my pics of my 429/460 motor mounts I installed in my 55'. these mounts are from speedway motors they cost $99. They are trim to fit so I made cardboard templates with pvc couplings that matched to diameter of the bushing tunnels and mocked them up and then transferred the pattern onto the metal mounts, trimmed, fit, leveled, tacked, leveled, then finish welded, there was only one gusset per side and I intentionally put the gusset facing the opposite direction for clearance with my crossmember notch and I will be adding my own fabbed gusset on the other side later, enjoy

How did you get on with clearance for your steering column? It may just be an illusion, but it looks like your mount is directly in the way?
Thanks for sharing the photos.

Sorry it took a whole to respond I was trying to find a picture of the rack at a different angle but couldn't find one it is an optical illusion the steering linkage arm is angled away from the mount and is cleared by a good 2.5-3 inches and I just did a lot if mocking up to finc the best location
