UPDATE 2/12/15

Plated the lower corners back in and burned in the plates. Used 3/16 plate on everything to stiffen everything back up. Still tight on top so I'm going to notch out for the Intercooler ducts and use some exhaust tubing to add clearance and form around the ducts. It'll make it look like the core support was made for the Intercooler when it's all done.

Started laying out the boxing and tunnel, to clear the back cylinders. The lower 3/4 of the transmission cover will be uncut factory. At the front it will come up 3" to clear the trans bellhousing. The box will come into the cab 5" didn't have to come in that much but I want extra clearance for some heat control material. I also went an extra couple inches up more than I had to, to make ingress egress of the block easy without having to remove valve covers or anything. Upper boxing is tight. Heating and air will have to be custom, but with some reworking of the center dash support and wiper motor bracket everything will work as factory. I could neck and dump the exhaust downpipe out the fender, but instead I'm going to box the passenger floor board for the downpipe to stay inside the frame rails all the way out back. I'll have some pics as soon as I start burning everything in. Kind of scary doing some of it from memory, but I'm going past the areas I knew I had to clear just to make sure that I have plenty of room later.

Still waiting on motor build. Took them a bit to find someone reasonably priced to do the block work. Probably the end of the summer for the motor. We are pulling the cab right now to finish boxing the frame and start laying out the Heating and Air. Look for some updates to trickle in over the summer.

Ya, been crazy busy with the kids. The cab is going out this week for new driver and passenger floor pans. Just very slow going. I gotta get back out there and finish up boxing the frame.

Isn't it amazing how life takes over at times. Glad to see it's not totally forgotten about.

Thanks guys. No way I'm letting that happen. I want it running myself too badly. lol I keep modifying the damn '06 6.0 daily driver and one thing leads to another. I threw '15 axles under it for the 3.31 gears and electric rear locker. Then I had to throw in the 51 gal Titan Tank, just to realize the damn converter isn't locking up now with the tall gears. Had to order a Converter with a 1200 stall, only one I could find was AFE and it was on back order for over a month. lol At least when I run 3.37 gears in this with the manual I'll never have to worry about searching for gears.

Looking forward to see the progress on this project. One thing always leads to another for sure lol. I didn't even know 3.31s was an option for an SD.

Amazing work, you said you send it out to get floor pans in? With all that metal fabrication you have done you can't put those in? JK

Great job and sure wish I had the skills and tools and space to do something of this build!!!!!
