337 FLATHEAD QUESTION

Ok..so ive got a couple of 337's now..so what was the transmission that came on the back of these bad boys in the trucks?I know it was a 5 spd..does anyone have a make/model number? also..in the lincoln form with manual trans..was there a half bell to convert to the big round 8 bolt 8ba style trans side housing or was it a bellhousing more like a late style unit with the input bearing retainer hole and a four bolt pattern to mount the trans like a toploader?

any pics would really help,i'm needing to mount it to a 42 truck four speed with the cast integral bell with the 8 bolt pattern..

Thanks in advance

Corey
