Ford truck show recommendations

Hello All,

I need to get my boyfriend a birthday present and he mentioned a while ago about wanting to go to some big truck show, does anyone know which one he may be talking about? Or can recommend a big truck show or car show worth travelling from the UK to America to see?

All help much appreciated.

There are a few big truck shows, I don't know much about them because I've never got them but you can try to search this forum. I'm sure there'll be quite a few guys stopping in to off suggestions.

You also might want to check out this post about our very own small meet. It's not huge but if you are coming from the UK I'm sure you would be able to arrange fitting this meet in along with a couple of big shows.

You and boyfriend might find it interesting to meet some of the people who post on FTE.

If you want to travel to sunny California, there is the F100 Western Nationals helh on June 22nd. The event is held in a park under large shade trees. Thee are over 200 trucks that enter the show each year. Here is the link.

I'd bet he's thinking of either Pigeon Forge or something at Hershey?

I haven't been to Pigeon Forge for many years, but it is a trip I will remember forever. LOTs of trucks, and Tennessee is beautiful country.

You didn't say if he likes new trucks or old truck or certain brands. You ended up in the old Ford truck forum, so your'e going to hear about old Ford truck shows. SCD already told you about the Calif. F100 nationals. The other show would be in Pigeon Forge, TN in May 2013. Pigeon Forge is at the base of Great Smoky Mt. national park. Lots to see and do in the area beside trucks. Good Luck.

Here's the site for the Pigeon Forge show. Not much there yet except the dates.
