Gray coating on new Motorcraft rotors
I just purchased new motorcraft rotors and they have a gray coating on them. Looks like primer paint instead of your typical coating that you wash off before installing.
My question is do I clean this coating off before installing?
I know it a corrosion coating but I've read different things online from, it will burn off, it should not be removed, and you should remove from the pad contact area.
Anyone know what Ford recommends?
