5.0 w upgrades vs 3.5 w upgrades
I am debating on which engine to get between the two
I was reading on the 5.0 page a guy with a boss intake cols air intake headers and exhaust was running 13.0? @ 105
What would an ecoboost run in the quarter with a tuner cold air intake and exhaust
With those mods what would the mpg be on each

So this is going to be a race truck? What gears did the 5.0 have? And what gears are you looking to get in either of the ones your going to buy.
ET at the drags is mostly in the rear gears as I assume you know. The 6 speed trans has a lower 1st gear that the old hydros I had in the 50's and with the 3.73's it jumps off the line with a 3.5.
Also the weight of the truck means a lot so the lightest XL with engine you can get will do you the most good.
If Ford would make it. I would have a XL single cab, 6.5" bed, 3.73's, with A/C delete....Now that's a truck . . . .good luck
Looked it up you can get it. XL, no air, carpet delete, 5.0 but the lowest gear is a 3.55.......So there you go
