Does anyone have a good repair for a edelbrock 1406 carb vacum nipple that is loose and comes out. It's pretty loose but it can be pushed in and will stay but also pops out when lightly tugged on. It's one of the 3 on the front. It's one of the smaller to the left. I've thought about JB weld but I'm affraid since it's still a tight fit when pushing it in it may get plugged with the weld or whatever I use or could I get a nipple from somewhere (?) that's a little bigger that will fit tightly in there? Not sure who would supply that though.

I would JB weld it myself, just apply it to the nipple and leave a 1/8" section that goes into the carb first without any on it. This should keep it out of the port.

 

Ok I'll give that a try. Should I also ruff up the nipple to help it stick to the jb weld or would it hold fine without that.

 

I would think that roughing up the surface would only help, not hurt.
