Body side Molding (Wanted)

Personally, I think that the single tone trucks look better with the side molding. The 2-tone trucks can pull off not having the molding because there's something there to break up the look of the side of the truck.
I also like how they save the truck from door dings.
I can say that the quality isn't as high as the factory molding. It is just a precut strip from a roll, so the ends aren't finished, but I honestly haven't noticed it as being a problem except for when I specifically think about it.
Here's a picture of my truck before I put on the side molding:

It'll be a while before I can take the pictures. I'm on vacation right now, and my truck is at my parent's place. The thermostat is stuck open, so its sitting in "storage" until I can get a free weekend to fix it.
The best I've got available at the moment is this picture from the night I was putting the side molding on:

Brad, it is slightly different colors; the paint was mixed by the same company, but I had the cab painted during the fall of 2010 at a buddy's house and the box was painted at a body shop 6 months later. From what the body shop tells me, different guns, air compressors, pressure, humidity, and temperature all affect the outcome of the paint. Unfortunately, I didn't have the money to get it all painted at the same time (and I didn't even have a box when the cab was painted), so things don't match up perfectly. Out of my whole rebuild of my truck, not waiting to paint the whole thing in one shot is the only thing I regret.
This picture probably shows it best:

I'll have to get my truck washed up nice and take a newer picture (the pictures I've linked to are all over a year old); it might be all in my head or the dust hides the difference, but I think the paint has cured and the difference is not as great over a year later now. The picture linked above was taken only a few weeks after the bed was painted, where-as the cab had been painted for over 6 months.

The trim does look better than I expected. I wish it was finished off on the ends like the factory trim. The factory trim is also beveled at the front of the door and rear of the front fenders. I wish they would just reproduce it like this.
That stinks about your paint. Its still a nice truck though.

I bought a pre-cut kit. I'm not 100% certain, but I believe it's the LMC pre-cut kit. They come pre-backed with 3M adhesive tape. I just laid out a line from bumper to bumper with painter's tape to keep everything in-line, then held up the piece and taped it's ends up with more painter's tape until all of the pieces were on. Then I could check spacing to make sure everything was even. Then I pulled off one piece at a time, removed the backing, and stuck them down.
