As all you guys knew before I did, It is a slow and hopefully steady pace. right now, work is a little slow, so I could actually go and work on it during the day , Also , as all of you know, it takes a lot of shop space when the thing is totally disassembled. I'll try and shoot some pics of parts hanging in various spaces in both garages
One of the first things I did was go over the brake system
Had all new lines fabricated at NAPA
Rebuilt all wheel cylinders. ( 6 ) Brake Cyl were over sised due to weight of water and tank. I could not accertain if it was done in Ford factory or Seagrave factory.
Had brake boster rebuilt.
New frt axle seals, repacked bearings
Pulled rear axles, repacked bearings, new Diff fluid ( I believe 11 pints)
Each rear hub and drum weighed 145#. I possistioned them by placing on a funiture dolly, then putting a block under eacj leg, one at a time, untill it was of proper height. Then used wood shimms to get it the exact height of the axle. When perfect height was reached, I could simply just slide dolly forward. The hub went right in, no damage, no maring. NO STRAIN

I can hardly imagine what kind of room a big truck takes when you start tearing into it. I can barely manage with my little half ton. For us regular truck guys we have a hard time realising how big a truck like yours is. It wasn't until Keith posted a pic of his truck loaded onto a lowboy for transport that I could fully appreciate just how big of a truck it is.
It takes a special kind of crazy to rebuild a big truck, everything is big, heavy, and expensive. My hats off to you.
I have to replace my parts CD. For whatever reason, it got destroyed. I can't seem to find my ordering info, and like so masy of us, I DID NOT PLACE A COPY OF IT ON MY HARD DRIVE. What a moron

I hate doing stuff twice
I have identified the leak coming from the center of part 4674, which neans to me, that the seal 4676 is bad (7EQ 4676 ). Question is this How difficult is this going to be to do, I recently put in all new gear lube- 11 pints. Can that be reused? I will need part 7EQ 4507. gasket, 7EQ 4676 seal and I dont know weather I can use 7EQ 4674 Retainer and grese seal over. Is that a solid part or is that something you would replace like a seal
