I just Googled it and there are lots of links.
Thanks, called the main store in Tampa and the guy remembers these conversion kits and will try and find a part number and call back.

That number didn't work for me but searching under electric choke I got two.
http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Result.aspx?Ntt%3delectric%2bchoke%26Ntk%3dKeyword %26Nty%3d1%26Dn%3d0%26D%3delectric%2bchoke%26Dk%3d 1%26Dp%3d3%26N%3d0

But I'm not sure what they fit. Napa probably doesn't know for sure. Holley or Edelbrock?

I believe any of the ones that fit a Holley will work. It is my understanding that Holley actually bought the Autolite 4100 (4bbl version of 2100) design from Ford in the late 60's.

The 2100 and 4100 are very good carburators.

The later 70s Motorcraft 2150s used an electric choke. The motorcraft 2150 is basically the same as the Autolite 2100. Chokes are the same housings.

I think that I still have several 2100s in the top of my barn if you need one.
Hello Pete, the kit I ordered from Napa couldn't have been a bigger piece of junk, do you have an old worn out carb that might have this electric choke mounted on it. The aftermarket conversion kits avail from Holley ect are out of my price range. Thanks

That's not electric Ilya, it uses tubing from the exhaust and the heater hose fits in the clip on the side of the choke spring.

No, sorry, everything that I have is older and has the old heat tube connection. You might want to see what they have at a wrecking yard. I would think mid to late 80s before fuel injection might have electric chokes. Also check Jeep and AMC products all of which used Autolite carbs on V-8s prior to the changeover to Chrysler V-8s in the 1990s. Some of the guys on here might have some other Ford models to check.

What was wrong with the NAPA kit? There can't be much to these kits. The main parts are a choke cover with a heated coil spring and a short piece of wire with the right connectors?

Thanks, I dont know what its like there but here in FL its tough to find anything that old anymore, I am only so lucky with the Ford trucks I think because they made so many of them and they were so dependable.

I do not of a jeep wagon though, never lifted the hood, Ill have to check it out tomm. when I do my daily scrounge for the bits and pieces.

Napa kit, where do I begin, the metal ring that encompasses the plastic cover was too large, real sloppy fit for starters, barely clamps, secondly the arm that is supposed to bolt to the intake and hold the cable housing waaaay to short and not even close to where it needs to be if it were long enough. Lastly was the holes/swivel is real sloppy that the cable is secured by. All in all a piece of junk. Im not building anything for show but I still have to draw a line and have some kind of pride with my work and this isnt happening.

If you hear of one and think of me my e-mail is jhason2@yahoo.com Thanks

I am sorry for not acknowledging your post. I hope I did not make you feel that it was not worth the effort it took to make it. I try and respond to each and every post but somehow I overlooked this one.

I will need to look into this later carb, maybe that will be the answer to solve the problem and it will hopefully lead me to the correct choke.

I wish yourself and your loved ones a happy holiday

I need to find an old worn out Motorcraft 2150 or Autolite 2100 which are a 2 barrel carb that look like this.

What I specifically need is the electric choke assy ( the bulb assy you see on the left ) for my truck. If any of you guys have any local salvage yards that you frequent I would appreciate the help. Here in FL everything old is getting crushed, maybe its that way everywhere.

I search on-line and I cannot find any for sale, maybe thats because no-one wants them though since it is 2 barrel.

Thanks for any assistance
