Truck Totaled in houston: Update Thread
Hey guys, this is an update of the the Truck Totaled in Houston Thread from a few weeks ago.
Gus will not live. After three weeks of fighting to keep him alive, dealing with multiple adjusters, hours on the phone with the insurance and the body shop, and hours and hours of personal research on parts and labor and verifying and inspecting quotes and information, he just didn't make it.
So, i'll be heading back to Houston to retrieve the Aux Tank, the gooseneck hitch, the PHP Chip, and the rest of the misc. items in the cab. Hopefully heading over Wednesday night, or Thursday. Depends on if I get the check in time and if the girlfriend gets off work. The plan is to buy a truck while i'm there. Trekbasso, Toreador_Diesel, and the other guys who have offered help in Houston, I'll be in touch. If the offers stand and someone is available, i'd appreciate someone with AE coming with me to go over any new trucks.
If anyone else, anywhere in driving distance of Panama City (say 15 hours), knows of a solid 7.3, less than 200K, crew cab, 4wd, let me know.
Thanks for all of the support to everyone who has had input and offered advice and help in the previous thread. It's been tough losing this truck, and you have all helped me get through and cope and I appreciate it.

2001 Ford F250 7.3 Diesel
Saw this one listed today. Not sure if you want long or short wheel base though.

Might call this one just to get more info... 1999 Ford F350 4 x 4
260K on it. All highway. He just got back from storm relief up north with it and replaced the shocks and brakes on the front end. Wasn't sure if it was early 99 or late 99 though.
I'm going to look at it as soon as I get the check from insurance. He said the inside is clean except for the standard crack on the driver seat. Lariat package.
Anything I need to know special looking at a '99?

÷÷÷÷ MUST SELL MAKE OFFER LIFTED 2002 F250 4X4 DIESEL ÷÷÷÷
This might not be close enough, but who knows.
EDIT: After looking at the pictures I don't see a front drive shaft and there appears to be slight dents on the left front fender and door.
