TBC Fault

Getting a TBC fault message in my message center and a check trailer message when there is no trailer connected.

What should I look at first?

I unplugged the brake controller and the fault still comes up. When I get back home from this trip I will get checking on it. Hope its not batteries....but my wife did have to jumpstart it last week. I put Sears Gell platnums in it about 2 years ago.
