I have a 2005 f150 xlt. Ext .cab
I never changed the transmission fluid and filter

I have a problem now, the transmission do not go forward only reverse.

Please, i need help to fix this problem now
I know here in this website have a lot of experts in this feel .

Was there any shaking, chattering, slipping, or vibrations prior to the tranny quitting on you?
Have you checked the shift linkage?
How many miles? 4x4? Motor? Daily driving habits?

 

Hi danorule,

I was driving and i stop in the traffic light, when the light turn green i put was and the truck make a little vibration and star to make noise like more rpm and lest speed, the truck star move and little by little geting speed again, i take the hi way and after that i slow down and the truck star to work like is in neutral.

I check the shift linkage and i put a half of transmision fluid now is ok

70635 miles

Motor: eng : 4.6 liter sohc
V8

Please help me

 

I normally use the truck every day, but i was the las month out of the contry and i arrived yesterday, so the truck was one month parking in the garage, and yesterday this problem happend to me.

 

If you added fluid and its ok now I think that was the problem. maybe its time to flush and change the tranny

 

I mean the level of the fluid is ok now, but the transmission does not go forward only reverse

 

Please i need help

 

sounds like a sprag clutch.... looks like it is time for a rebuild.
