I need to replace the Temperature Control Cable in my 1988 F250. I am having a difficult time identifying the part number and finding a supplier. I'd rather buy a new part if it is available rather than get it from a wrecking yard.

 

I looked and was not able to find a supplier.

Even in the yards it is hard to find the exact cable because they changed the ends by the doors, but it looks like you could switch styles because the end attaching to the control is the same - or looked very similar.

I ended up just fixing mine.
