Hey guys,

My front emergency brake cable is worn out and no longer works. I have tried to replace it twice now with no luck. The only parts store that carries it anymore is Autozone. I have tried to two different lengths they had, but neither one has worked.

There was a 90 inch cable that was too short and a 106 inch cable that looked to be the right length. But was still different and wouldn't work.

So now my choices are either LMC truck or Advanced Auto Online. Advanced Auto has 3 choices including a 108 length that I haven't tried. LMC truck looks like there is only 1 choice to choose from.

The truck is a 1979 F250 standard cab long bed 4x4. Thanks guys, if anyone has changed this on a truck like mine and knows what length worked let me know!

 

According to the Ford parts catalog your truck (79 F250 4WD reg cab) takes D7TZ-2853-C and it's 108 1/2" long.
