Oil Level

Changed the oil the other day Filter also, Added 16qt. Normally this sets me about 3/4 to 7/8ths up on the hashmarks on the stick..... This time I'm about an 8th to 3/16ths high over the hash marks.

Is this ok or do i need to drain a Qt to 2 out

As long as you checked it on level ground and gave the oil a chance to drain back down into the pan, then you're fine. 1/8" over full on the dipstick won't hurt anything.

Oh yea a lll on level surfaces, unless the shop floor is way out of wack!!!! I was just curious because normally i drain oil / filter then refill run for a bit then let it sit check it and its right on the money. Did the same as i always so and this time it was high. Not bad just didn't want to hurt anything. IM a worry wort,

THanks Chris hope alls good with ya.
