1962 Econoiline Throttle conversion?

Has anyone done a throttle cable conversion on one of these things? I am looking at a Lokar throttle cable but not sure how long it needs to be or if I need other parts? This is a friends truck and I am 250 miles away and would like to get the right parts BEFORE I get there! LoL!!!

Any help would be GREAT!

The 240 engine on the 1965-1967 Econolines had a cable throttle. You need to get the pedal assembly along with the cable.

I did this in my 1965 Econo with a 200 engine, and it worked great.

I do not know about any after market cables like the Lokar. The cable for our vans would be longer than a normal car. Sorry I don't have one here to measure.
