Hi Guys

Im putting my Highboy up for sale. I have it on craigslist locally
Restored 1976 Ford F250 4x4 Highboy

Please go there for the pictures.

Long and short of it - truck is in great shape. The previous owner and myself have replaced a lot of parts on it. It still has flaws but what 37 year old truck doesn't?

I'll answer any questions as much as I know about the truck. I'll accept all serious offers as well. I really don't want to get rid of this as it's my fun truck but need space in the driveway ... I know this is one that 20 years from now I will regret selling.

copy from CL:

1976 Ford F250 4x4
Factory Highboy
360 V8
33" tires
C6 trans, NP205 transfer case
$7000 OBO. ALL SERIOUS OFFERS CONSIDERED.Will respond to any emails.

Truck is in great shape and very reliable for being close to 40 years old. I have spent a lot of time replacing worn out or non working parts, as did the previous owner.
Even in the frigid cold, the truck starts after just a few cranks, every time!
Previous owner had engine rebuilt (within past 8000 miles) as well as some body work and new coat of paint.
Tires have been on the truck less than 10,000 miles and have 85% tread left on them.
Everything works as it should.
Pictures do not show tailgate but I have this in my garage.

New or replaced parts:

Both rear leaf spring packs, shackles and U-Bolts
All new brake pads and brake lines installed by shop, new master cylinder
All 4 shocks to Monroe Gas Magnums
New radiator, system completely flushed and filled until completely clean
Full Dual exhaust system with glasspacks
T-stat & housing
Starter solenoid and battery cables upgraded to heavier gauge
New battery 2 years ago
3 top quality autometer gauges added last summer (voltmeter, oil temp and water temp)
Carburetor adjusted by professional shop, electric choke added
New front and rear bumpers
New front grill assembly
Coolant overflow tank
Heater core, blower motor and fan replaced
Drawtite hitch added 2011
Trailer brake controller new 2011

Last summer had transmission specialty shop replace all seals in transmission and check for any wear or parts that needed replaced.

Other items:
Truck has a sony CD player with aux input
Camo headliner
Spray in bedliner
Chrome bed rail caps and accents on body
Electric oil pan heater

Truck has rust on the typical spot over the rear wheel well on passenger side

A general rule in modding ANY vehicle is: Fast, reliable, cheap; you can only pick two, you can't have all three.
