I have a 1995 F150 XLT 4x4 super cab 5.0 4r70w 125k miles. Bought it very cheap knowing there was possible tranny issues. The fluid was low so I added some until it was at the correct level. Took it for a ride today to get gas and think that maybe it's shot. There was dragging sound while in first and second but went away in third. It was also rough in reverse and now wont backup at all. Not sure what to do next. One thought is I have a complete 1991 XL 4x4 with an e40d. I understand that it in not a direct swap but I have all of the electrical for it since the 91 is complete. Can you guys provide any guidance? Also the 95 has electronic shift 4x4 and the 91 has a manual t-case. any chance I can use the 95 t-case with the 91 e40d.
