52 F-7 ford interior
#17
Measured mine and they are 6" also. Did a little research and found that 1948 - 56 are all 6" but 48-51 and 52-56 have different styling. I guess it is up to you what style you want and if you want to go catalog or bone yard.

I have been fiddling around a bit with the interior ( it rained one day pretty good ) and I was able to find some 16 or 18 gauges aluminum sheets laying around so I decided to cut the lower panel and see how it looks.
I know the pictures are crappy but it looks good to me, I am sure itll rattle going down the road but Im thinkin rattling will be something Im not going to get away with on this truck no matter what I do.
Im trying to think of something to put down in the channel these sit in that will help with the rattle but cant think of anything other than dumdum but that will make a mess and I want to be able to remove these guys should I need too.
Anyway I also went to the fabric store to get some vinyl to do the upper panels with, they had an imitation vinyl and so I bought a yard of that and a yard of batting to go behind it.
I am thinking though now that originally there was no batting, looking at the pictures above the panelman posted it looks like there is nothing there because you can see the rust stain from the metal panel coming thru.
I am not sure how to attach this material to these upper removable panels, does anyone know if it was originally glued on, I am thinking not as I dont see any traces of glue on the metal panel. Maybe it was just tucked under and stapled to itself, this would make more sense since I have found remnants of staples on the old vinyl remnants I have.
Maybe some of that spray headliner glue would work for me?
Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?
