Replacement 7-Pin Harness

Replacement 7-Pin Harness
I need a replacement 7-pin harness. Mine also has a 4 pin coming from the same harness. The harness is about 1-2 feet long and connects to the main harness near the rear bumper. Does anyone know where I can get one of these? I have heard they are crazy expensive from dealers, like $100+. I have seen some aftermarket ones, but with no 4-pin. I would like to retain the 7- and 4-pin plugs.

You could also build your own
Here is the Ford Connector catalog or the Wiring Pigtail Catalog

Once you know the part number you can get the plugs from Amazon.com for a lot
less than from Ford. Then you just brew your own.

When I had my 2009 modified to accept the slide in camper, they used a factory premade harness to add another 7 pin oulet in the bed near the cab. The mechanic wanted to do it the old way and splice individual wires, but the boss said the computer can get funny about messing with the harness. He insisted on using the factory premade one - don't know the brand. It pluged in to connectors by the rear bumper. The 7 and 4 pins on the bumper still work fine.

looks like hopkins PN 40955 gets you where you need.
Multi-Tow® 7:4 Ford//Chevy/GMC
about 30 bucks at TSC

that's where i got mine, anyway.
Etrailer might be another source, i know they make a splitter so you can have one on the bumper and one in the bed.

where you put the plug is up to you.
i was just making reference that etrailer might sell that same plug if you don't have a tractor supply in your area.
hopkins 40955 is what you want.

Not sure you'll find what you need in this Ford document, if you wanted to order from Ford.
