Tire Comparison / Suggestions
Sorry to bring this back to the top but really value everyones opinion.
This is what I am looking at: Both are 285/75/16 E
BF Goodrich All-Terrian T/A KO $1200.00 out the door with alignment
Firestone Destination MT $1135.00 out the door with alignment.
Now I know the Firestone is more of an off road tire but look great on the trucks I've seen them on.
Suggestions?

The firestones look cooler but might not last as long as the BFG's. Honestly I'm not a huge fan of that tire anyhow, I much prefer the General Grabber AT2. It is almost the same as the BFG you're looking at but it has a little more open tread pattern and is also a lot cheaper. My dad and I both have them on our 05 and 06 250's and love them.

We have them currently on our 02 F250 they loose air within a few months already checked for leaks and nothing. They are really soft so they can get punctured easily. Ours were brand new on the truck when we got our 02 and a little over a year they are already worn. And in the mud and snow they can't get through been stuck multiple times. Our 86 F150 has Ta Kos and they are 3 years old 34000 miles never been rotated and tons of life left. Thats why we are going to them as soon as these General Grabber AT2s are burnt up.

I've run about every tire made over the years and have a few favorites. I recently bought a set of Yokohama Geolander 315's and have found them to work well in snow and on the rainy roads we get around here. I've also run a set of 315x16 Falken tires (came on Excursion when I bought it) and found them to work well in mud and snow but not as good in heavy rain. They wore well and seemed to be much harder rubber then the Yokohama's. I paid $900 6 months ago for the 4 Yokohama 315's, mounted, balanced and out the door.
