Transmission line disconnection help.

I have a 2003 Explorer with a 4.0 and need to replace the radiator and to do so I need to disconnect the tranny cooler lines. None of the disconnect tools I have won't work. the tranny code is a V and i think that would be the 5R55S tranny. Is there a special disconnect tool for this? I would appreciate any help.

I dont think its special but you need the right size, I find that the metal disconnect tools work better, doesn't Napa or ....... offer free tool rental, good luck & spray some oil in there too, that helps

I have disconnect tools and it's a 3/8 line. The problem I'm haveing is the tools don't fit between the the rib where the plastic safety clips go and the rubber part so I can't close the tool all the way because of that rib.
