I can't wait until it's all done and you hook it to the 5er the first time! I'm anxious to see how it does, and how your EGTs are gonna be with the new set up. I wish I could come out and help, but I guess I'll have to be a cheerleader! Happy wrenching buddy, and don't forget the pics! LOL!!

Thanks again you guys, just remember it will take me forever. I'm the opposite of the guy who brags, it only took me an hour! LOL
Rich, I never did find out what my tongue weight is. Is there an easy way to do it? I was thinking of trying out the mare with the 5er first to see if I should transfer over the air bags. Does yours have the overload springs? I didn't put that on the list, like I don't have enough to do, LOL.

Nothing wrong with taking a while to do the work Glenn. Enjoy it some while you're working on it, and not stressed about having to hurry with this, hurry with that. That is how I like to go in the shop, at least with my vehicles. Others I may hurry a little more with to get them out of my shop.

You can google your 5er and get a close guess of the tongue weight too.

Your right Darin, why do it unless you can enjoy it. This shop I'll be using is 12 miles away thru town so I'll be an hour total back and worth. By the time I get motivated in the morning and then come back for dinner I'll be lucky to get four or five hours in, LOL.
Thanks Sam, that sounds so simple, I'll try it sometime. Curious, how more does a dually weigh over a SRW?
I love them bags on the SRW also.
I have firestone bags Aaron.

I like the easy way Sam described. To be accurate though you do need to weigh with the truck fully loaded (fuel, equipment and passengers, the 5er should be fully loaded too. I can't remember exactly how I did it, but I know I weighed all the axles (2 truck and 2 trailer) I stopped at a state truck scale that I thought was unoccupied and out popped a state patrol weigh guy he really didn't want to deal with me. I had thought I could weigh it myself and just look inside at the scale. I had done it before. Well he said just get back in the truck and pull forward and I'll call out the numbers and wife could wright them down. I am overweight by a few hundred pounds, and I am pretty sure you will be too, only ones that really care are the weight police on the forums trailer sections.
This is a pic of my spring configuration, I think the top one is the overload IDK
