I saw that its on the floor Glenn. I guess that is good timing. Thanks for trying to rep guys. No big deal ya can't. I just know Glenn was kinda worried about it so that's why I took notes.

Reps sent for both me and Glenn. I don't plan on ever doing SD harnesses, but that is a good post for the ones who are going to swap. Good job buddy.

Thanks for the reps Travis, and for trying Gabe. I'm not sure how much I'll do today, I caught ANOTHER cold friday, ugh. I'm gonna go and try to mess with the harness some more today, but it will be slow progress for sure.

Alright, I quit already. I finished up my wiring harness. Here is a quick pic of it

Only other thing I did was take off my passengers side manifold. It was leaking for sure on the back one. Hard to see in the pic, but its blacker, and I laid a straight edge on it and its not straight. Had to cut one bolt to the head, and one of the uppipe connection bolts.

My brother in law is going to help me pull the trans over christmas when they are back here. I'm gonna pull the driveshafts and start getting ready next saturday. No more for now.

Nice job Darin! When you cut the fuel bowl and stuff you don't need out of there, do you cut them all the way back to the big plug? Or, just wrap them in the loom?

Thanks Glenn. I took the ebpv wires back to about 5-6 inches away from the plug and taped them off and put in the loom. The fuel bowl wires, one goes to a funky connector part way down the loom, so I cut them all off in that area and put them in the loom.

Ya Aaron, its a 60's tbird. I forgot the exact year. I was gonna part it out, but I think its just going to get hauled in for scrap. Body is real rough, interior is in good shape though. Just don't have the time to mess with it now. It's taking up space in the shop too. Dad was gonna do it, but he is kinda laid up with his back. Bout all he does is supervise!

I think I will drill and tap the passengers side manifold now that its off, and get another egt gauge too. Only problem with that is I need to find a place for one more gauge.

Thats too bad.they are a bit harder to get parts for.
The more gauges the better!very nice

So how are most resealing the manifolds? Resurface, clean head, just a bit of high temp rtv to fill imperfections?I wouldn't think gaskets would be a good idea,I didn't find any on my core engine when I removed them.?

The three options are gaskets, which can be had at a parts store even though they didn't come factory with gaskets.. machine the manifolds back flat and hope they seal, or machine the manifolds and use gaskets. I would just throw gaskets in it and forget about it.
