Crown Vic IFS Complete.
Man, I thought that these would not be hard to find. Around here in Michigan, I have had no luck finding a complete unit. All the yards or craigslist, ebay, etc, just part them out. Thats alot of $ in parts. Of course thats how they operate and make their money. Any leads on one of these in my area?? Thanks

they come in. i ended up making offers in advance for the complete
unit and had two yards call me up less than a week later on the same
day telling me they had them ready. it's easier for them to drop it
as a unit so they were happy to do it. might give that a try....

I travel for my job so I am looking for parts. I got a 03 and an 07 in different towns but the same state. I was told the cop cars are in demand and they are the first picked. I got lucky and got both cop versions. You might try Car-Part.com Some of the junkyards list what they have and might make your search easy. Good luck.

seen on the news last week pics of the flooding in NJ a whole parking lot fulla taxis under water, most of em' looked to be vickies. most likely won't be repared from water damage that severe. i'm thinkin' that there is gonna be a mess of vickies (with the HD taxi pkg suspension in wrecking yards soon in that neck of the woods once the taxi companies get paid out by their insurances.
worth keepin' an eye out for anyone down that way.

I think you were asking about which master cylinder and booster to use. I used a booster out of a 2000 of so Lincoln Town Car because it has a small overall diameter. Any booster will work.
As far as master cylinders go, you just need something out of a Ford that has disc brakes up front and drums in rear. You will also need the proportioning block. This is right under the master cylinder bolted on the same bolts as the master cylinder. My master cylinder and proportioning block came out of a '98 or so F-150 because it is comparable in weight to our trucks with the same "eventual" brake setup. (The proportioning block is so that the disc brakes up front receive more hydraulic power than the drum brakes in rear.)
Check this out. Here are some pictures of when I did this swap.

You may find some helpful hints in there.
PS when you go to buy new brake hoses from the parts store, buy brake hoses for a '98 F-150. The fitting types are the standard fittings. If you buy CV brake hoses you will have to also buy adapters to convert standard fittings to inverted fittings. Which creates a possible leak point. When you install the brake hoses to the frame of your truck, you can simply straighten out the bracket on the hose and bolt it to the frame.

Nuther' booster/master combo that worked real well for me was a 88 dodge f/s p/u
it fit soooo well i only had to elongate the holes a bit to use the factory holes in the firewall. Also seem to remember using the original f-100 pushrod without mods. Only caveat here is that the booster is too big to use iffin' you still have clutch master cyl.
I did the changeover in about 2& 1/2 hrs.
