1978 One Wire Alternator Install
Hello Guys. I'm sure this has been talked to death.......but here goes, I'm cleaning up the engine bay harnesses. I am trying to figure out the one wire install before I retape the harnesses. Reading the prints and tra ing wires has not shed light on two things. One being the idiot light, I would like to keep it it looks as though it may have something to do with the Y/B wire but I'm not sure.
The other is the ammeter gauge. Has anyone utilized the existing harness for these functions??? If so I would sure love some detailed directions.
A lot of the older posts deal with older trucks and are confusing!!!
Any help would be appreciated

PA Performance offers a voltage regulator that allows ya to maintain a functioning ammeter: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...l#post12678807
Dunno about idiots lights. Gauges are the way to go.
