I am sure this has been done but I can't find any. Who has done a manual swap into their Excursion. My tranny or Tcase messed up so thinking about a possible swap.

Anyone done this swap or have links?

 

Which drivetrain?

I know I've seen a thread or two on the site but it was with a pickup.
I'm pretty sure it had a 7.3.

This would be an awesome swap. I have wondered the same thing. I've always been a manual guy over automatic when it comes to gearboxes.

 

Im a manual trans guy as well...but when it is time to tow... Auto is the way to go!

 

You'll need the following:

6 Speed floor board hump out of junk yard truck.
Clutch Pedal Assembly
ZF6 Transmission and Transfercase
A pre-bleed Master/Slave Cylinder kit from Ford
New clutch and flywheel
Manual PCM (Optional)

The output shaft of the manual and the auto tranny's are different. If you don't have the manual transfer case don't worry. You can switch the input shaft of the transfer case to make it work with the manual.
