Merry Christmas Day

I did not get the one big thing I wanted.

2 Feet of SNOW

Did you all get what you wanted/asked for?
How ever I am not upset I can smell the ham in the oven cooking.

Party time

Apparently I've been a bad boy this year......woke up this morning with chest congestion, and it's been coming on all day. I figure by tomorrow I'll be sick as the proverbial dog.....yay. Oh well, undaunted, I still prepared dinner even though I didn't really feel like eating too much. I make a mean prime rib, and threw in steamed asparagus, dinner rolls, and garlic mashed taters for good measure. I even managed to **warning: Entirely too much FoodTV foo foo cooking talk coming up **.....made my own gravy by deglazing the roasting pan with red wine, adding shallots, season to taste (didn't need much with the rub left in the pan), and thicken it with a roux.....wasn't half bad!

All that, and I only had one piece of rib, a little taters, and asparagus, and I was full......besides, now that my ears are plugging up, I'm losing my sense of taste anyway......dang it. Well, at least I'll have really good leftovers for the next week or so. Anyway, I hope you and yours enjoyed your Christmas, and you got to spend time with the people you care about.

I'm now off to find a NyQuil induced coma........Merry Christmas to all, and to all heavy discounts at your favorite parts houses!

Aw shoot i didn't even think to check here for this thread. I kinda missed it... I retty much got what i wanted, i wasn't able to get headers but i got some ram (memory) for my laptop, and some t-shirts. I also got a new trackball mouse that i wanted and some other odds and ends. It was a good christmas. And with some of the money i got and some of the money i had from selling my ranger, i just bought 2 new Boston speakers for my surround sound setup. It made a HUGE difference from the flappy tattered old ones i had. They may have been Infinity speakers but over he years the foam around the cone has disintegrated and made it sound really bad.
