December Bovine Scat thread

What, nobody started a thread yet? It's 5:30 on the first and I should still be asleep. Might as well head to the shop.

I guess it's up to you and the "Out of Towner" to get this month going. So how is everybody doing? The house I think is done, just a few thngs that are not hung up, and really box free! I secretly (two months ago) got us tickets to see Trans Siberian Orchestra tonight. We've tried before and have never made it. Seen Manhiem Steamroller, but this is supposed to be a pretty good Christmas show. Shari was stoked, she's been talking about it. She heard on the radio yesterday that there were only 9 tickets left. It was a good supprise.

Hope everybody's doen well. Gonna pour another cup of coffee.

Unk Bob

Good Morning Everyone!

I have an excuse for this morning. I was out getting gas in the truck and decorating it for the Christmas parade this morning. (pictures up soon) Anyway, we had a good time. Driving a stick in a parade is not on my list of to-do's anytime soon, that's for sure. I cheated a little. I threw it in 4 low and creeper gear, so it wasn't bad.

Tiff even sat with me in the truck and helped dole out the candy. She's feeling happy on the couch right now because she felt a little rough after the parade. Modern chemistry is wonderful.

Next year, I hope to have the 'Vette and the Chevelle running. (both automatics)

Good morning boys and girls.

Fired up the old Ford this morning and thought of y'all.

She's been sitting too long...had to jump start it...but she sure sounds good once she's up and running.

Here's some pictures of Alice all purdied up for the parade.

This is the last time I contract out the sign work. My sister in law did the signs, but she spelled "performance" wrong. Oh well, I don't think anyone noticed. I didn't even notice until we were getting ready to pull out for the parade.

Always loved the old bronco's. My grandpa had one, a 69 I think. It was one with the tiny bed on it.

Those shows never let you see the guys doing the real work. Just a cut scene back to the host putting the new part on. Not the guy who busted his knuckles open threw a wrench through the window and melted a bunch of wires while using the torch. Did I mention this guy woke up and started drinking at 5 a.m.? Oh wait that was me when I was younger! My bad. I think most of them have WyoTech students do the work.

Having done a few high pressure, ridiculous dead line jobs, I take all those shows with a grain of salt. RC, we know the real story. I'll continue to weld my hotrods together. Let those idiots spend way too much money on stuff that needs the super glue.

I'll tell you this, the next show or person that approaches me for such a build will get told where to go and how to get there.

Afternoon all!

I spent a couple of hours cutting wood this morning with a couple of the kids and finished up the tree we dropped earlier. Now we're taking a break from hauling it down to be split and stacked. There are several trees down in that area, so I think I have found my wood supply for the winter - if it ever gets here. Short sleeve t-shirt weather on the first of December - Geez Loiuse.

As for those TV shows - they used to be half-way decent way back when, but now they're just 30 minute infomercials for the sponsor's products. Fat wallets are needed because someone else figured out the details. If someone just handed them a part and told them to "make it fit" - they'd be lost.

Alan - Alice looked great. One of these days we'll have to get together and do a FTE MO Chapter entry in a parade or something.
