We Lost Another VET Today...

Sadly, my brother-in law lost his battle with cancer this morning. This decorated Vietnam War Vet, Army helicopter pilot, will be laid to his final resting place, next week, at the National Cemetery in Arlington, TX.

He was family. He was my friend. He will be missed.

It was time. Better this, after a wonderful life - he destinguished himself, and did well.
One day, you realise, we all travel on...

It was his time.

But before he LEFT! He left a mark to strive to reach, did he not?

Therefore, don't mourn the loss - for the soul of that warrior is not gone. You only miss the day to day that he might have shared with you

Our bodies are only carriers that don't last forever, we should know that.

His SOUL never dies, the SPIRIT within is still very much alive, and may come back some day in a new form

That spirit is alive and well, it was time for it to travel on

~All of us will, some day far (we hope) in the future

It is who we are

The part of us made out of mud and clay, is always left behind
-That changes nothing

~Wolfie

*SALUTE*

I hope I see him in a later life
AMEN

Yes. A 'salute' is in order. Too bad we don't have a saluting smilie. A time such as this is worthy. "Hand Salute!"

From one flight crew to another, "Awesome job and thanks for getting us here safe, my friend"

Great men do great things, but they all must eventually rest, its his time to rest in peace.

God bless you.
