Question Stock Fog Lamp bulb replacement

I have a 2002 F-350 with stock Fog lamps. One has blown out. I also have the front licence plate frame attached to the front bumper. I cant get my had in there to get to the bulb. Is there a way to remove the front licence plate holder? I didn't see any type of screw head on the mounting points of the plate bracket. I have read that It may be necessary to remove the front bumper to get back there. where are the mounting bolts for the front bumper if I need to go that route. I may as well change both bulbs if i'm going that far. Also are the ford ones the best or should I go with another brand. Yellow bulbs would be nice too. thanks Jeff

I went with 9005 HID bulbs. 9005 bulbs can be used for a little more brightness, and I was putting a new bumper on when I did mine so no advice how to get to them. Should be able to reach up from under to feel them. And bumper removal on mine is just 4 bolts up front next to the tow hooks.

Question

Thanks for the video, I watched that one as well. My problem is I have the front licence plate mounted in the bracket that is attached to the front bumper. So i was wondering if there is a easy way to get the bracket off without having to remove the front bumper. Then I can get my and in their to change the bulb like the video. thanks Jeff

I bet if you remove the grille you could get to the bulb? I've got a burnt out bulb too. If I get a chance this weekend I'll let you know if it works.

Drill out the connectors holding on the plate bracket, do the bulb change to the 9005 (60 or 65 watts, don't remember which, compared to the factory bulbs 42 watts) and use bolts to re-attach the plate bracket. Mine is bolted on like this. You can also buy yellow colored bulbs from Hella and several other companies, check Summit racing for one source.
