2000 f350 head gasket
ive got a 2000 f350 with the 5.4 motor. Its got a head gasket leakin oil .[out the back on passenger side] From what ive learned is these are bad for this.If i were to find a newer model 5.4 [2004 or 2005] with low miles, would i be able to swap my intake and other parts off of mine and the motor work in mine? or are the newer model 5.4s different? thanks

No, your swap will not work without a lot of engineering.
In 2004 on the F-150 and 2005 on the Super Duty, the 5.4L was changed to a 3 valve design with variable valve timing and a throttle by wire strategy (no throttle cable, eliminated the IAC). You would need to figure out how to integrate a PCM into your truck that could control the variable valve timing and the throttle.
But, no, the 5.4L is not known as an engine that is prone to head gasket failure. I am not sure where you heard that.
