Fixing up an ole Workhorse
Howdy all! I'm fixing up an old 1996 F150 Supercab XLT. I've redone the interior except for a new dash panel, and am working on the suspension. I'd like to replace the front coil and rear leaf springs. I must admit I don't know too much about that, and wasn't able to find out which ones were the best on the market by doing a search. I've been quoted about a grand for new front coil and rear leaf springs plus labor, but I don't know what kind he wants to use. Could someone point me towards the light? Thank you very much

It sure seemed high to me as well, but I had asked for "good quality" springs. I'm trying to figure out what "good quality" is so I can negotiate the price a bit. Thank you for the reply. It looks like I need to select the correct "leaf pack thickness." For a 2WD F-150 ('96) does this seem an appropriate choice?
Rear; 2WD; 4/1 = 5 Leaf, 1 3/4" Pack Thickness, 1655lb Per Spring Rating
