Death Wobble

Ok! Guy's Here we go! 2006 f350 4x4 6.0

I have had this damn death wobble issue for awhile and searched and searched for a fix. so finally it is fixed it was a combination of things

1) started with tire balancing/no fix
2) Air Pressure/No fix
3) bilstein stabilizer/no fix
4) upper and lower tie rod's/ No fix
5) Dual Stabilizers/slight fix
6) bought the mcmotorsport trac bar/ slight fix
7) UPPER & LOWER BALL JOINTS / FIX
so was it the upper & lower ball joints YES and why after the mcmotorsports trac bar DIDNOT fix the problem I replaced it with a BD Trac bar that my buddy when he got rid of his truck. then replaced the upper & Lower ball joints with MOOG not Ford OEM so hope this helps you guy's I have gonr thru alot of cash with this problem so hope you can try to pick and choose your attack! plus hope MCMotorsports will take back the trac bar seeing it did not fix the issue I will post when I complete that process (Keep On Truckin!!!!)

Hello ppad1962 and welcome to FTE.

It is good that you were able to fix your death wobble issue.

The trac bar does do what it advertises. I had my ball joints replaced also and have a new trac bar. The truck feels more more controlled going down the road, no more wobble. After you get the new trac bar, you can take off the dual stabilizers as they won't be needed anymore. Put the OE stabilizer back on or better yet put on a Bilstein.

death wobble

In response I did install the MCmotorsports trac bar and still had the wobble go figure! Installed the BD trac and ball joints no wobble and at a cost far less then the cost of the Mcmotorsports trac bar these items were installed by a 4x4 shop...

I was having some slight issues with mine mainly on curves accelerating on the freeway. I was nearing the end of the life of the stock tires and pushing 100k. I ended up buying new tires, shocks and a new stabilizer. And so far haven't had the issues reappear. Since then we also got a new expedition and a new daughter so the truck hardly gets driven since I have a work vehicle. If I see the issues reappear though ill give your idea a shot along with a adjustable trac bar since eventually it will get a small lift.
