Aux. Fuel tanks

I am thinking of putting an Aux fuel tank inn the bed of my truck. id like to set it up to gravity feed the front tank. i was wondering what you guys are running.

Just do exactly as you have stated. Plum your auxiliary tank into your existing one. As far as what we are running dont worry about it. Most are using the stock tank. Just get what you can afford and ones size that will fit your needs and bed and bolt it down

do you already have factory dual tanks? if not, that would be a cheap place to start with junkyard parts.
regardless of what you have there, i fear that a straight gravity system would result in fuel overflowing out the factory tank's filler and/or vent, so i think you would want to have some kind of valve on there to only transfer when needed, probably manually

Don't use diaphragm type electric valves if you're leaning towards electric valves. My buddy found out the hard way that 150+ gallons of fuel above one of those valves will keep it from closing.

The fuel was pushing past the valve and the Facet pump and overflowing his factory tank.

Make sure you use a ball valve or some other positive shutoff valve. I'm not sure if drawing from the top would cure that problem or not....
