!999 ford E350 7.3L deisel

My problem is when cold no fuel pre heat,no no intake heater but glow plugs cycle.If I plug in block heater starts ok cold always.Dont plug in no start!Help could it be the IDM modual not comunicating with pcm?

Come and join us on the '99-'03 7.3 PowerStroke Diesel forum!! Just because your 7.3 is in an "E" seires makes no difference!! LOTS of very knoledgeable folks there!!

You probably need a new Glow Plug relay.....or maybe you need glow plugs.... I wold check the relay first....

So not the glow plug solinoid?Relay located at lf fender?

What you call a " solenoid" is refered to by everyone as a relay....the one on the fender is the Starter relay...the Glow Plug relay ( They are COMPLETELY different but look the same ) should be beside the Filterbowl assembly, mounted on on the Passenger side Valve Cover..... at least on my Van it is ....
