Up close and straight on it looks like a 9 which would be correct, 1949. Maybe that is what I want it to read, 2-7-9. The stampings on the firewall are very poor, illegible. There are some yellow lettering close to the stampings, probably inspection stamps. I'll make it a point to take pictures of these and see what I can make out. If I can get decent pictures I'll put them up.

That truck is amazing!! I took a ride over to Ray's today and I can't believe what great shape that body is in.
