EBP Tube Broke
so i was under the truck looking around for leaks and saw a tube that was coming from the passenger exhaust manifold and wraps around the front near the t-stat housing. it cracked right where it enters the exhaust manifold and is just hanging. my question is what symptoms or problems could i see or encounter? not sure how long it has been broke. easy to replace?

I spoke to Jody Tipton a couple of years ago about functionality of the EPB sensor. The EPV sensor reports backpressure to the PCM and the reported data allows the PCM to utilize over 29 different fueling tables stored in the PCM. It determines what kind of load the engine in under and how to fuel the engine ... important stuff.

You can run with it unplugged. Nothing will be hurt.
You will just default to only one fueling table under all running conditions.

I understand that, but Bob is saying that the EBP sensor controls fueling and Darin is saying most guys have them unplugged. Which leads me to believe that Darin is talking about the EBPV under the turbo, not the sensor. Just trying to get some clarification.

If you have the EBPV and the EBP sensor unplugged it does nothing because the sensor is just there to read what the EBPV does and if its gutted or deleted then the EBP sensor has no purpose and can be unplugged but more times then not that tube is full of soot anyway and the sensor doesn't work in the first place
