EGR Cooler Hose Replacement

EGR Cooler Hose Replacement
I had this strange coolant leak for a few days on my 2005 F350 and thought maybe it was the water pump or worse. I came to find out that it was the failed EGR Cooler Hose that is located under the turbo and feeds the oil pump. I spent $38.00 for the new "blue" hose upgrade and o-rings and took pictures of the steps involved. You will need an "offset" ratchet extension to pull this off, beer and/or valium will also help as you will have no room to work in and will destroy your knuckles. Plan on spending time up on the engine.
Pictures are in my album and in order with instructions.

Great write up. Wasn't long ago folks were removing the turbo to fix that hose.
And, the photo with the paper towels to block the areas off to prevent tool loss is nice to see.
When I took my turbo out earlier this year, I was able to retrieve the 2 torx bits I dropped down there when I replaced my cooler hose!
Reps to you.

Truth be told when I removed the hose I did not realize that the cooler port could be removed so I spent about 1 hour wiggling that damn thing our of the EGR port. I found better info before trying to put the hose back on which probably saved the destruction of the new hose. Here is a great link showing the schematics of what and where the parts are. http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/mu...90613_1121.pdf
