My wife was kind enough to schedule her hernia surgery (which wasn't emergency or anything, she's had it for a long time) this past Monday. I think it was 100% on purpose...

My rifles will remain locked up this season... <shakes head>.

I had took a phone call out on the deck last night and 2 doe were standing about 25' away in my neighbors yard. It took them a little while to figure out where my voice was coming from. Funny, when I'm not hunting, they seem oblivious to noises but when I'm parked in the woods for hours, the slightest movement and they're gone. ha ha...

The guy that owns the property (9acres) that my house borders usually has stands up but he's not there this year. We usually have a few buck and 10 or so doe that pass through the same area behind my house (which is why he's usually there) almost on a daily basis. What I've seen so far this year has been small though.

Matt in my area every year seems to have game. I'm hoping that Saturday my luck changes.
