I am trying to replace the ball joints on a 1993 F150 4X4, but I can not get the passenger side axle shaft out. Any one know if there is a clip that has to be removed or some other trick? The drivers side slipped out without a problem, but the passenger side will not budge.

IIRC its in the diff. (after '85 I think) you can get the spindle off with it still in the way. it sux, but can be done. Getting proper torque on the bottom bj sux . your discretion I guess.

If just doing ball joints then look for the rubber boot over the third universal joint in that axle shaft, remove the boot clamp and seperate the axle shaft at the joint (outer piece of axle shaft will pull straight out).
