Looking for oxygen sensor

Have been getting all recommended parts. I'm down to 02s. Both ford stores seemed a little lost, one did give me a part number. Can I just get one from napa or something - I think bosh was oem?
Got a heep of parts here, want to make sure I have everything befor I continue with power pack install
Any one know exactly what 02 I need and where to get it (just one in system)

Motorcraft DY832 or Bosch 15717 will work just fine. You can pick either up at many auto retailers.

Your signature is "97 250 460 r100" What is the definition of r100?

Your truck should have an E4OD. Ford did not start using the 4R100 series until the Super Duty F250/350 trucks were introduced (1999 and later). The F150 started using the 4R100 in 1997.

Check the door jamb tag, it should show Transmission Code E. Yes, the 4R100 is a "relabeled" E4OD but there are differences inside of each model series that makes properly identifying them a necessity.

Get the correct sensors. Don't get "universal" ones, they're a hassle to install and generally don't work that well.

Post the calibration sticker code that's on the door jamb.

Should be something like 7-97P-R00

If you are not a subscribed member then you need to post the photo at another website such as Photobucket or SuperMotors. Then point your post here to the photo using the advanced functions. You may be able to post to your gallery here too. Never tried it that way.

None of my Ford Service Manuals reference a 4R100 transmission in this vintage truck. There are a few OBD-II California emission F250/350 trucks out there perhaps they came with the 4R100?

Unfortunately Ford recycled the Transmission code in the later model trucks as well. Transmission Code "E" does denote a 4R100 transmission.

But is the transmission type really going to have any bearing on the O2 sensor? Most of the Ford spec 4-wire O2 sensors of this era are all the same, the difference is just the length of the harness. I know the one in my truck right now was the one spec'd for a 90's Escort. The harness was a little shorter than the original I removed, but not enough to be a concern.
