I am not familiar with either of those products... and not sure if I can find them in Baja... I am now searching the internet for a Rhino Liner place in La Paz, which is the largest city near me. Well, 80 miles away... Who makes the stuff you are going to use??

Baja

You can order either one at summit racing. KBS or Por15

Most people just paint theirs with the engine; I think it will look cool if they kinda stand out. I have been collecting little stuff and tinkering with the little things here and there. Finally got the frame finished and coated. I'm waiting on the powder coater to finish my spindles then I can install the front suspension. I should be able to finish all the rear suspension and rearend housing in the next couple of weeks. I removed both the front and rear leaf spring hangers as well as the front cab mounts so I could get the frame as clean and smooth as possible for coating. I think I may have welded and ground 60 holes in this frame to get it smooth. I am reworking the front hangers since I did the hanger flip and don't want any of it sticking down past the frame. I will bolt all that back on with grade 8 bolts. I'll post pics later tonight or tomorrow.

Sweet, good to see this build is being worked on still.

I'm a diesel tech, I'd love to see what you did to the little baby Cummins.

update 4-25-15

Not a whole lot to talk about. Finally got the frame coated with the KBS coating. Bolted the cab mounts, front and rear leaf hangers back on as well. Started putting the front suspension back together. I am waiting on the spindles to get powder coated otherwise I would probably have the front end together. I have a rear end housing from a 77ish f100. It has the heavier duty housing than the one that came with our trucks. It is also 4 inches wider than ours. I ordered housing ends and had the housing blasted. I narrowed the later model rear end today; essentially removing 4 inches from the drivers side so the driveshaft would be centered with the transmission yet keeping the same width as the original one. I have a nice oil fill cap and plug I need to weld to the housing as well. In the mean time I will be ordering some 31 spline axles from Strange in the next week or so. The pumpkin is a 3.25 gear. I also have a 31 spline 2.70 pumpkin on the shelf just in case I feel the need for a little better gas mileage on a really long drive.. I also changed up the rear cab mount support a little so the drive shaft would clear and I incorporated a driveshaft loop I made.

Got the chassis pretty much finished up. I still need to weld the axle to the pads but I am waiting to get everything but the bed on the truck so I can ensure I have the pinion angles right. I tore down the 4bt to chemically and mechanically clean and paint it. I threw on good ole cummins beige. Unintentionally, it dang near matched the leather and interior beige perfectly. Not really what I was looking for but it might look ok after the engine bay is black.
