The safety wiring was the clue amigo.. One of the ships I was stationed on in the Navy, had a DASH hanger and a few gas turbine drones. Twin, counter rotating, rotors, and everything safety wired. Lots of shaking & vibration, but nothing coming loose. Nice touch with the SS and Titanium bolts... Way pretty...

2X Baja. On a gas motor I think the safety wiring would look over-kill. On a diesel........looks Way Cool!
I gather you still have the safety wire spinning pliers.

Everyone, here's my Mercury, although right now it is sporting a '65 F350 hood and '95 F150 rims.

You might be interested in the engine transmission going into it... I'm dropping a '62 Vauxhall 6 with 3 on the tree until I get my 4BT. It'll really get some looks at car shows locally. Cost on the engine/trans=$0.00! total invested in the truck so far; $0.00.

Just like so many others no. BUT I would love to see what one looks like so I may be able to fabricate one. I'm pretty good with metal shaping and welding.

I was going back through my pics looking for something because I forgot what it looked like. Found the pic of the truck when I pulled it in the garage a little over three years ago. Not much of a difference huh?

Back to work.......got all the sensors on the drivers side of the engine installed. All the turbo lines are complete and installed. Got the steering column connected to the steering shaft and to the rack. Just need to send it to the painters for paint now. TV cable is connected and rigged to the throttle pedal; that is why there are two cables going through the fire wall. Shortened the oil dipstick, the original in the Dorito truck was like 4 feet long. And I mounted the hydroboost and MC to the firewall. I plan on making all the lines for the hydroboost to rack to power steering pump today. I forgot to bead roll a lip into the intake tube to hold the boot on so I will try and do that today as well. Oh, and I took the bed to the painters yesterday. They say they will have the doors and hood finished in a couple of weeks and the bed about a week after that. Time will tell on that one.

I welded the Borgson U-Joint to the shaft then blended it to make it look factoryish.
