Thanks. I'm no body man so all the sheet metal work has definitely been the biggest challenge.

I've always heard a person afraid of a challenge will never reach his full potential.

2X. It is better to have tried and barely failed than to never have tried at all. Note my signature.

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark, and professionals built the Titanic.

Hay I like it, a whole lot of truth it that.

Trucks aren't Cool unless the tailgate handle swings..........

I like that to! Mine just swings a little different. LOL

12-15-14 update

Been working on the bed hot and heavy for the past couple of weeks. After getting the bed corner repaired I put the slight curve back in the passenger "bump" so it matches the drivers side. Got alot of the new bed fab going. I raised the bed floor approximately 5 inches from stock. The bed is now about 14 inches deep or so. Regardless, I fabbed a frame for the new floor along with wheel wells and two compartments for the battery and the air compressor. I still need to fab the closeout doors for those as well as the horizontal and vertical parts of the bed aft of the wheel wells. Also have some finish-out work to do between the bed floor to bumper interface. Hopefully all the bed fab will be wrapped up in a few more weekends then its on to the chassis.

You gonna put a Mustang tank back there? Now would be the time to fab the inlet pipe and door.

What is the twist. I am looking at putting a rear fuel tank in mine. I'm welding in the front fuel tank door off of a 79 f150.

Flush fuel door but using the fuel door hinge from a mid 90's f150. It will be better with pics.

Thanks. I've decided to change the dash actually. I'm selling those gauges and going with a different brand. I'm also going to change the layout with a insert of sorts. Think F600 gauge cluster face. For sound deadening I sprayed second skin audio sound deadener on the inside of the cab all the way up and under the dash as well as on the firewall and bottom of the cab. Then I am going to use a layer of the thick fat mat, then a layer of closed cell foam, then the carpet with the jute.

Nice work on the bed...I was thinking of a trap door in the cab floor on mine for the battery but I think I like your idea better. Good place for extra storage too.
